Dorothy Helmink, 96, of Firth, NE, passed away September 20, 2023. She was born March 14, 1927 in Firth, NE to Oscar and Cally A. (Emry) DeVries.

Dorothy was a member of Holland Reformed Church and American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra Tonack and Christine Sueverkruepp, both of Lincoln, NE; sons, Kyle (Carey) Helmink, of Firth, NE and Kirk (Marybeth) Helmink, of Hickman, NE; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Moser, of Hickman, NE, Erma McGill, of Waverly, NE and Sally (Stan) Doctor, of Lincoln, NE; along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Gerald.

Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2023 at Holland Reformed Church, 22005 S. 96th Street, Hickman, NE.

Private family burial to be held 10:00 a.m. at Holland Cemetery.
