Dorothy E. "Tudy" Hoffman

Mrs. Dorothy E. "Tudy" Hoffman of Nashville, IL departed this life at the Washington County Hospital ER in Nashville, on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 1:54 AM. She had attained the age of 73 years, 2 months and 5 days.

Mrs. Hoffman was born on June 2, 1952, in Evansville, IN, the daughter of John and Barbara (Lacer) Giovanetti, Jr. She was united in marriage to Edward Hoffman on August 13, 1980 in Carlyle, IL and he survives her passing.

Dorothy served for many years as a Hab Tech for Disabled Development and was an active member of the Nashville Assembly of God Church. She had a passion for literature and co-authored books with her mother, who took great pride in their collaborations. Dorothy also enjoyed crafting and took great pride in her home.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Edward Hoffman of Nashville; son Joseph Hoffman of Addieville; 2 grandchildren, Amber Aten and Edward Johnston; 1 great grandchild on the way; 3 siblings, Rebecca (Dennis) O'Connor of DuQuoin, Matthew (Joy) Giovanetti of Branson, MO, and Gina Giovanetti; her best friend, Diane Brink of O'Fallon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Per the wishes of Dorothy and her family, cremation will be performed, and a celebration of life will be held at the Nashville Assembly of God Church in Nashville, IL on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 2 P.M. with Rev. Matt Craft officiating. Burial of Ashes will be held at a later date.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Nashville Assembly of God Church and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
