Dorothy Kelley Obituary
Dorothy "Dottie" Sue Kelley, age 77 of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025. Dottie was born to the late Cecil and Maebell (Kirby) Grooms on August 10, 1948 in Hiawassee, Georgia. She was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church and of the Baptist faith. Dottie was the wife of Colin Kelley, mother to Brian Kelley and Stacey (William) Brown; grandmother to Victoria Callaway, Joshua Brown, Brantly Brown and Benjamin Brown; sister to Nancy Huffman and Barbara Grooms. Dottie loved reading and is the reason many of her friends and family members have a love for reading as well. She also enjoyed being creative on the computer and helped her sister create layouts of her poems.
Dottie is preceded in death by her above mentioned parents; sister Betty Grooms and brother Doug Grooms. She will be deeply missed.
