Dorothy D Kressin

Dorothy Kressin, 83, of Wyndmere, North Dakota passed away peacefully, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Fergus Falls, MN. A funeral in her honor will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 2 PM at Peace Lutheran in Barney, ND. Visitation will take place one hour prior. Pastor Brock Schmeling will officiate.

Dorothy was born on December 22, 1942, the daughter of Emil & Mathilda Grewe in Fergus Falls, MN. Where she grew up and attended school.

On September 12, 1964, she married Robert Kressin, son of Erwin & Florence Kressin at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, MN. The couple made their home in Wyndmere, ND, where 3 children were born. She was strong in her faith and was a long-time member of Peace Lutheran Church in Barney. They spent many summers with family & friends at Sunset Beach Resort in Battle Lake, MN. Dorothy worked at the local cafe in Wyndmere until taking a job at the school, working in the cafeteria for 18 years and then she worked for Valley Senior Services for 10 years. She enjoyed organizing and playing cards at the Senior center with all her friends and spending time with her children, grandkids and great-grandkids.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Scott Kressin, St. Cloud, MN; daughter, Debbie (Russel) Hensch, Campbell, MN; Grandchildren, Joanie (Dustin) Miller, Albany, MN, Brady (Kirsten) Kressin, St. Cloud, MN, Dylan (Amber) Hensch, Crookston, MN, Nathan (Chelsea) Hensch, Fergus Falls, MN, Alyssa Hensch (fiancé Tyler Leverson) New Effington, SD, and Ryan Hensch; Great-grandchildren, Benson Miller, Bennett Kressin, Beckett Hensch, and was anxiously awaiting baby Hensch in April.

She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Bob, an infant girl, and her brother, Arlen Grewe.

The family would like to thank The Pioneer Care & Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, MN for taking such good care of their mother in the last couple months of her life.
