Dorothy Mae Lyle passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, in Taylor, Michigan, at the age of 80. Born on October 12, 1944, in Callaway County, Kentucky, she brought joy and beauty into the lives of those around her.

Dorothy was the cherished daughter of the late Numan and Violet Hopkins, whose love and guidance shaped her life in profound ways. She shared her life's journey with her devoted husband, Vernon, with whom she celebrated 62 wonderful years of marriage.

A woman of simple pleasures and refined tastes, Dorothy found immense joy in shopping and had an eye for everything beautiful-from clothing and jewelry to vehicles and flowers. Her love for gardening was evident in the vibrant blooms that adorned her home, a place she maintained with great pride.

Dorothy's legacy lives on through her loving children, Michelle (Bob) Crace and Vernon Lyle, Jr., who were her pride and joy. She is the dearest grandmother of Miranda Crace, Alex Lyle and John Crace. She is also survived by her siblings, Gracie Tucker, Jerry Hopkins, Helen Massengill, David Hopkins, and Wayne (sdCathy) Hopkins, as well as several nieces and nephews who cherished her dearly.

Her family invites friends and loved ones to honor Dorothy's memory during the visitation on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with the service immediately following at 6:00 PM. Both will be held prior to her interment at Michigan Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest.

Dorothy Mae Lyle will be remembered for her grace, warmth, and the beauty she brought into the world. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
