Dorothy Lafaye Massey, of
Muskegon, Michigan, was born on January 18, 1953, to the late Robert Harris and Mary Louise Paige. She peacefully departed this life on August 16th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family. Dorothy grew up in Muskegon Heights, where she attended Muskegon Heights High School and proudly ran track during her youth. She dedicated much of her life to caring for others, beginning her career at East Park Manor Nursing Home, where she worked for three years. She later served at the Holiday Inn and Mercy Hospital for 15 years before retiring in 2001. At an early age, Dorothy accepted Christ at Emmanuel Tabernacle Church under the leadership of Pastor Ruben Piggue. She later united with Holy Trinity Church under the guidance of Bishop Nathaniel Wells Jr., where she remained a devoted member. Dorothy's life was filled with love for her family. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Willie Massey of
Muskegon, Michigan; four daughters, Tammy Chapman, India Chapman, Taqueena Massey, and Tameka Massey; Two sons, Jermaine Chapman and Terrence (Carla) Massey; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her. Dorothy was also blessed with six very special lifelong friends who held a cherished place in her heart: Glenda Cheathams Mary Grisham, Lenora Lenore, Debra Johnson, Shirley (Coco)Allison, and Anita Watson. Their friendship was a source of joy, laughter, and unwavering support throughout the years. Dorothy will be remembered for her faith, her kindness, and her unwavering love for her family. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched. She is survived by seven loving brothers: Charles (Sandra) Chatman, Johnnie Paige, Robert (Laura) Harris, Edward (Joanie) Harris, Kalvin Harris, Anthony Harris, and Zachary (Audrey) Harris; and four devoted sisters: Mary Stanford, Vivian Sagnia, Dorothy (Sam) Dean, and Janelle Walker and two special Sister in Laws Gwen Paige and Jackie Dillard. She was preceded in death by her siblings Erin Paige, Wesley Evans, Michael Harris, Kevin Harris, and Lee Paige and Her Parents Dorothy will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved her dearly. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be at 12:00 PM Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Holy Trinity Institutional Church of God in Christ, 2140 Valley St,
