Dorothy Dale Sipe McCauley, age 79 years, a resident of Elkins where she made her home with her daughter and son in law, departed this life Wednesday evening, July 15, 2015 at the Davis Medical Center at Elkins surrounded by her loving family. She had been in declining health. She was born on Wednesday, September 11, 1935 at Junior, WV, a daughter of the late Elmer Emmett "Jack" and Hazel Grace Armstrong Sipe. During September of 1953 at the First United Methodist Church in Elkins, WV, she was married to, James Howard McCauley who preceded her in death July 5, 1973. Surviving are one daughter; Kimberly Diane McCauley Ross and husband Joseph Carmen "Joey"; one sister Bridget Ervin of Elkins and one granddaughter, Kaela Jannelle Ross. Preceding her in death are infant twins, Stephen Ray and Sheila Kay; one brother, John Sipe; and one sister, Betty "Dodie" Moore. She was a graduate of Belington High School with the class of 1953. She was an employee of the former Dutch Oven Bakery. She along with her husband were owner and operator of the former McCauley Auto of Elkins. Dorothy's granddaughter was her pride and joy. A Celebration of Life will be held with family members.
