Published by Legacy on Aug. 25, 2025.
Dorothy Petros (née Miller), age 91, formerly of Moundsville, WV, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the Christian Village at Mt. Healthy. She was born on July 19, 1934, to the late Marcus and Loretta (Moore) Miller.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Edward James Petros, who preceded her in death in 2015. Together, they shared many years of love, family, and hard work, with Dorothy serving as the bookkeeper for her husband's tire business.

She was the devoted mother of Diana Petros (the late Orlando) Santos of Latonia, KY; Joseph (Linda) Petros of Santa Fe, NM; David (Nikki) Petros of Hartford, CT; Edward (Liz) Petros of Orlando, FL; Betsy (the late Robert) Petros Crowe of Knightdale, NC and James (Bonnie) Petros of Salem, CT. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Ryan Petros, Jessica Petros Strickland, Cassie Slate, Rosie Santos, Lexie Petros, Maddie Petros, Aubrey Johnson, Amber Johnson, and Brent Johnson, as well as many great-grandchildren. Dorothy will also be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends.

Private burial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Marshall County Animal Shelter or the ASPCA.

"God saw you getting tired, And a cure was Not to Be, So HE put his arms around you and whispered "Come with Me". A golden Heart stopped beating, Your beautiful smile at rest, God broke our hearts to prove He Always takes the Best.
