Dorothy "Marie" Phelps

Dorothy "Marie" Phelps, age 86 of Cottontown passed away Monday, September 1, 2025 at her home. She was born September 21, 1938 in Nashville, TN. She worked as a bookkeeper for Dollar General until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking and was a wonderful cook. She loved butterflies and spending time with her family. She had attended Temple Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Julie; brother, Mike. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Carl E. Phelps; daughter, Kathy (Jimmy) Clark, all of Cottontown, TN; brother, Pat (Sarah) Farler, Nashville, TN; 3 grandchildren, Rachel (Chris), Ashley and Carly (Justin); 2 great-grandchildren, Hudson and Asher. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, September 8, 2025 at 11am in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House, with Dr. Alec Cort officiating. Interment will follow at 2pm in Phelps Family Cemetery in Pulaski, TN with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Monday, September 8, 2025 9am until 11 am at the funeral home.
