Born in Detroit, MI on November 9, 1952, she was a daughter of the late William and Ruby (Green) Copeland. Dorothy made her career as a clerk for the Port of Wilmington.
Dorothy's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She loved talking on the phone with her sisters, and always looked forward to visiting her family in Detroit. Dorothy took great delight in being able to attend her grandson's wedding this past summer. She enjoyed spending her free time watching TV or going out for dinner.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings, Joann Arbic, Jim Copeland, Harold Copeland, and Jerry Copeland. She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Raczkowski; children, Michelle A. Raczkowski and Danny Raczkowski Jr.; siblings, Juanita (Rich), Barbara Sanders (Matt), and Bill Copeland (Louise); and grandson, Trey Phillips (Ayse).
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1 pm until 3 pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Services and interment will be held privately.
