Mrs. Dorothy Agnes (Koers) Rogers, 86, of Greenwood passed away April 29, 2011 in Indianapolis. She was born on May 10, 1924 in Indianapolis a daughter of Herman Henry and Catherine Mary (Roell) Koers. She married Marcus Dale Rogers on October 25, 1952. She is survived by her daughter Rita Lynn (Charles “Chip�) Rogers Brandt of Indianapolis; her son David Mark (Becky) Rogers of Martinsville; 3 grandchildren: Stacy, Christina, and Steven Rogers of Connecticut, her sister in law Frances Koers of South Bend; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers Herman, Raymond, Hank, Vernon, and Gilbert Koers and her sisters Marie Baldus and Mildred Bowman, and an infant daughter Barbara Jean Rogers. Dorothy was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church for 50 years, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Home Economics Club of Greenwood. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and doting grandma. The family of Dorothy Rogers would like to mention that Dorothy loved the color pink and angel pins. You may wear either of these in her honor for the service. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 4-8 pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St. Greenwood with a rosary service at 7:30 PM. The funeral mass will be at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 South Meridian Street, Greenwood IN 46143 on Wednesday at 11 AM. The Msgr. Harold Knueven will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church.
