Dorothy Jean Ryan, 93, died Friday, November 21, 2025 in Louisville, Kentucky.

She was born November 27, 1931 in Howardstown, Kentucky, daughter of Joseph Leonard and Pauline Whalen Rogers. Jean was a devoted wife and mother. She raised her children and supported her husband during 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy. Following their military service, they continued serving the community through an active involvement in the various ministries at St. Gabriel Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan T. Ryan.

Survivors include her children, James Ryan (Betty), Kathleen Greene (Richard), Michele Wolff (Tom) and Laure Ryan; grandchildren; and great grandchildren.

Visitation is 2–4pm Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road followed by a funeral service at 4pm. Burial is 10am Monday, November 24, 2025 at St. Augustine Cemetery in Lebanon, Kentucky.
