William Wilkerson Obituary

He was born June 5, 1936 in Springfield, Kentucky, son of William Edgar and Bessie Louise Rogers Wilkerson. Bill was a retired core maker for International Harvester. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the old Eagle's Nest International Church.
Bill was a man devoted to his family and God. He had the heart of a servant and showed God's love and compassion everyday to everyone. Giving of himself no matter the need was one of the great joys of his life. His greatest joy was his family and loving wife of 63 years, Sue.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Carol Howard Wilkerson; daughters, Karla Welshans (Daniel), Robin Wilkerson and Gina Anderson (James); and grandchildren, Ashyianae and Lee Welshans and Conner and Dillon Anderson.
Funeral service is 11am Friday, November 21, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with private entombment. Visitation is 3-7pm Thursday, November 20, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to St. Joseph Children's Home, 2823 Frankfort Ave, Louisville, KY 40206.
