Dorothy Saldky Obituary
Born in Hackensack, NJ, on November 4, 1930, Dottie was the daughter of the late William Bauer and Emmy (Gunther) Bauer. She dedicated 40 years of service to the Hackensack Water Company, retiring as the Supervisor of Billing. Dottie was known for her warm spirit, strong work ethic, and deep devotion to her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Meyer; her brother, Jack Bauer; and her sisters, Lorraine Ciminio and Louise Fergueson. Dottie is survived by her sister, Pearl Shapiro of Ocean View, DE, along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom cherished her dearly.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 15, 2025, at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd., Paramus, NJ 07652.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Dottie's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org or to a veterans' organization of your choice.
