I was so sorry to hear from Andrea about Dorothy´s passing. She and my mom, Yvette, were high school buddies; and along with Joan and Martha, were quite a foursome of friends since high school. After they were all married and raised their families, the four couples remained close friends. I remember going to see Dorothy sing at a supper club one year with my parents, I think it was in Wallington. She had such a beautiful voice and her love of singing and the theatre was so strong. I remember Dorothy and Don made it to my wedding, even though it was during a blizzard. I couldn´t believe they made it from their home to Ramsey in a foot of snow. I know the four friends are together again, and having a great reunion. Robert, Debbie, and Andrea, I offer my deepest sympathies.

Our deepest condolences and love to the family. Dottie was so dear to us and we valued her friendship through the decades. We met in opera workshops in the late 1970's and had the wonderful good fortune to perform together both on stage and in the concert hall. Since moving to the southwest we made sure on our annual visits back east to take time for visits and dinner with Dottie. We loved her wit, warmth and sparkling energy. Sharing our mutual families updates was always a part of our conversations. Dottie loved her family deeply and was such an inspiration to us through years. Carmen Artis & John Hammel
