Dorothy Teehan Obituary
Born Thursday, August 12, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Del Vecchio. She moved to Great Kills where she has lived since 1964.
Dorothy was the loving wife of the late Michael Teehan for 47 years.
She was a long time Catholic school teacher, mostly teaching at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, was a member of Holy Child Church, and the South Shore Swim Club.
Surviving Dorothy are her loving daughters, Patricia Bosso (Michael) and Catherine Orrei (Vincent). She is predeceased by her daughter Theresa Teehan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael Bosso, Laura Flosi, Michael Orrei, Toniann Guli, Gary Bertonazzi, and Brianna Orrei, as well as her great-grandchildren Joseph Bosso, Emily Bosso, Olivia Flosi, Beau Flosi, Carlo Bertonazzi, and Christopher Gluli
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
Donations may be made in Dorothy's name to Staten Island University Hospice

Ms. Teehan was my kindergarten teacher at Mt. Carmel in 1993! I was young but I remember her being such a a lovely teacher.
