Dorothy Mae Malik Tickle May 14, 1937 – August 25, 2025 Dorothy Mae Malik Tickle, 88, of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully on August 25th, 2025 at home surrounded by loved ones. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd at 5:00 PM at Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Pkwy Pensacola, FL. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd at 9:30 AM at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 9945 Hillview Dr. Pensacola, FL. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 11:00 am. Dorothy was born on May 14, 1937, in Ottawa, Illinois to Michael and Mary (Wielgopolan) Malik. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School, class of 1955. Dorothy married the love of her life Chester Tickle, on February 15, 1958. Dorothy worked for several years at Gayfers, Sears Roebuck, and West Florida Hospital in the medical records office. She was the heart of our family, an extraordinary mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love and gentle strength shaped generations, while her kindness, wisdom and warmth will forever live on in all the lives she touched. Dorothy was a devoted member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. She took great pride in being a member of the bereavement committee, the Ladies society, saying prayers with her rosary group, and attending daily Mass. She loved to travel, always eager to visit family and friends or experience new cultures and places. She loved to crochet blankets and sew clothing and dolls, especially for her children and grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her children, Linda (Danny) Dolan of Magnolia Springs, AL, Brian Tickle of Creale Springs, IL, Dawn (Mike) Wilcox of Milton, FL, Liane (Tom) Frieders of Phoenix, AZ, her grandchildren Mary (Matt) Schulte, Laurel (Troy) Wilson, Patrick (Bailey) Dolan, Andrew (Hailey) Dolan, Deanna Tickle, Jeffrey (Ashley) Wilcox, Christopher (Chesley) Wilcox, Max (Judith) Wilcox, Nathan (Belia) Frieders, Tyler Frieders, and 15 great grandchildren.
