Dorothy Vangor Obituary
Dorothy M. Vangor, age 94, passed away with her three daughters by her side on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
She is survived by her daughters Cynthia, Dorothy, and Annamarie, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, her sister Margaret, as well as numerous extended family members.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Antonia Olszta, siblings Antoinette, Stella, Casmir, Thaddeus, Josephine, Natalie, Edwin, Lillian, as well as two sisters in infancy.
Dorothy attended Joliet Township High School. She held many different positions during her lifetime, but was most proud to have been a kindergarten school bus driver. She enjoyed hobbies such as woodworking, ceramics, and reading. She cherished spending time with family.
The family would like to extend a special note of thanks to the entire staff of Pike’s Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs, CO and all those involved in her care near the end of her life’s journey.
In lieu of flowers, please consider offering a donation in Dorothy's name to either your local Hospice organization, the National Alzheimer's Association or the Dementia Society of America.
