Columbia, South Carolina - Dorothy L. Vaught, 84, of Columbia passed away on April 1, 2025. Born on January 27, 1941, in Georgetown, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Ezzie Lawson.
Dorothy, a loving mother and grandmother, was predeceased by her husband, LeRue Olen Vaught. Dorothy is survived by her children, Rhonda (Terry) Hunter, Robbin Spivey, Randy Vaught, and Rachel (Will) Miller; and grandchildren, Philip Hunter, Jim (Mary Kate) Spivey, Jr., Matthew Hunter, Nicholas Vaught, Ashley Spivey, Trayton Miller, and Griffin Miller.
A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Friday, April 11 at 11 a.m.

Nana as I called her when I was married to Randy, was the sweetest of women. She accepted me and my son into the family with love and kindness. We had fun together just going to the thrift stores. Occasionally we would go on vacation together. I loved her very much, as did Nick. It´s so hard to lose a parent. I know that her children will miss her so much. My heart goes out to you all. Love and prayers.

Robbin, Rhonda, Randy, Jim and Ashley, I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Vaught. I have many memories of her kindness and love for her family. I hope she is enjoying her time above in a beautiful "spin around dress"
