Dorothy Ann Crites Watts, 69, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Saturday, March 21, 2026, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport following a brief battle with cancer.

Dorothy was born Saturday, January 5, 1957, in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late Seamer Crites and Lenora Leary Crites. She was married to Royce Watts, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2011.

Left to cherish her memory are two children, Casey Bennett of Elkins, R.J. Watts and wife Lori of Davis, three grandchildren, Zandra Watts and fiancé Isaiah Simmons of Elkins, Zere Watts and wife Katelyn of Bowden, Nevin Bennett of Elkins, three great-grandchildren, Gemma Simmons, Laila Watts, Adrian Boggs, and one on the way, Sophia Watts, seven siblings, Gary Crites, Penny Regester, Sharon Morgan, Angie, David, George, and Christina Crites, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her "kids", Cheeto and Ellie Mae".

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were five siblings, Helen, Pearl, Barbara, Ronnie, and Tom.

Dorothy attended the schools of Randoph County, obtained her GED, and was a graduate of the West Virginia K9 College. Dorothy was employed as a manager of McDonald's in Elkins for over twenty years. She loved vacationing at the beach.

Dorothy's request for cremation was honored.
