Kenneth "Kenny" Ray McCune, 65, a resident of Huttonsville, passed from this life Thursday, March 19, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of WV Caring.

Kenny was born Wednesday, June 22, 1960, in Elkwater, a son of the late Grant Mcune and Prudy Bell Dawson McCune. On July 17, 1982, in Mill Creek, he married the love of his life, Karen Elaine Blankenship who preceded him in death September 24, 2023.

Left to cherish Kenny's memory, are two children, Richard McCune of Huttonsville and Shannon McCune and fiancé Shane Lanham of Huttonsville, three grandchildren, Isaiah, Ryland, and Kensley, seven siblings, Linda Wamsley and husband, John, Dixie Pritt and husband, Richard, Jerry McCune and wife, Jeanie, Martha Tacy and husband, Richard, Billy Joe McCune, Tommy McCune, and Jim Blankenship and wife, Anne, three sisters-in-law, Holly Blankenship and fiancé Frank Kennedy, Tonya Fincham and fiancé Kenny Wingfield, Lorraine Yokum, special friends, Brenda Martin and husband Rick, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Kenny in death was one daughter, Sondra McCune, three siblings, Junior McCune, Lottie Bell McCune, and Glen McCune.

Kenny attended the schools of Randolph County and had worked as a logger for several area timber companies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and vegetable gardening. He liked to tinker and work with mechanical equipment. He loved his family and spending time with them.

Visitation will be held at the Valley Independent Baptist Independent Church in Huttonsville Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10 am until 11 am, the funeral hour. Pastor Frank Stanley and Pastor Andrew Boley will officiate, and interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville.
