Dorra Dale Salassi, a caring and loving person, passed away on February 1, 2024, leaving behind a void in the hearts of all who knew her. She was born on November 8, 1951, and during her time on this earth, she touched the lives of many with her kindness and unwavering faith.

Dale was an exceptional seamstress and cross stitcher whose skills were admired by all. She had a keen eye for detail and could bring life to fabric with her creative touch. Many were fortunate to have worn one of her beautifully crafted garments. One of Dale's greatest pleasures in life was fishing. She found solace and contentment in the serene beauty of nature. A woman of deep faith, Dale had a strong connection with God that guided her throughout her life. Her unwavering belief was evident in everything she did, providing her with strength during challenging times and inspiring those around her to find solace in their own faith.

Above all else, Dale's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children. She loved them fiercely and devoted herself entirely to their well-being. Her nurturing spirit shone through as she selflessly dedicated herself to raising Stephen Bercegeay, Matthew Bercegeay, and Misty Olivier Pape.

Dale's impact goes beyond her immediate family. She was a beloved daughter of Odile Simoneaux Babin and Elroy Salassi, and a cherished sister to Lonnie Salassi, Herman J. Melancon Jr., Danette Melancon Becnel, Bryan Noah Smith, Don Roy Salassi, Louise Salassi Edelen, and Connie Langton. Her warm presence will also be dearly missed by her step-mother Ruby Salassi, daughter-in-law Teresa Bercegeay, daughter-in-law Heather Bercegeay, granddaughter Erica Pape, step-grandchildren Jack Hayden Bates and Jordan Gauthier, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, loving cousins, and friends.
