Dorsie Lee Rossi

Dorsie Lee Rossi passed away on Friday, January 2nd, 2026, in Manvel, Texas, at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nulon and Doris Truss, and her husband of 57 years, Sam Rossi Jr. Dorsie is survived by her daughter, Amanda Rossi; brothers, William Truss and Roy Truss (Jozy); sister, Sarah Booth (Leonard); grandchildren, Garrett, Morgan, and Cash; and a host of many other family and friends.

Dorsie was a devoted woman of faith who loved Jesus and welcomed others with an open heart. She was known for her kind and loving heart and her commitment to prayer. Family meant everything to Dorsie, and she cherished each of them deeply, holding a special affection for her daughter and grandsons. Her church family was also a meaningful part of her life and brought her great joy.

Dorsie was a wonderful cook who took pleasure in preparing meals for those she loved. She shared a deep and enduring bond with her husband, Sam, and together they built a life of companionship and devotion over 57 years. Dorsie will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services for Dorsie will be held at Southview Baptist Church in Manvel, Texas, on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026. Her family will receive guests during a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am, with the service commencing at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the service at Manvel Cemetery.
