Dortha Lee Blocken Johnson, 77, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026. Born on April 8, 1948, in Cheraw, SC to the late Lee Emmanuel Blocken and Josephine Moore Blocken.
She later moved to High Point, NC, where she worked at Claude Gable for over 20 years. She was married to the late Edmund Johnson.
Known for her boundless love and kindness Dortha was affectionately called “Ma Dot, grandma, and Aunt Dot." Her love touched many lives and left a lasting impact
Her loving memories will forever be in the hearts of her two daughters, Gloria Johnson and Dorothea Tate, two special children, Tonya Watts and Sherman Bone, all of High Point, NC; two brothers, Jimmy Blocken of High Point, NC and David Blocken of New York, NY; two sisters, Ruth Warren and JoAnne Blocken Sowell both of SC, six grandchildren, TaQuiceya, Henry, LeAciyia, Taleciyia, Davonte, and Ka'Zyriya; four great grandchildren, Lalia, Kassidy, Janai, Journee, and Dahlani, a special friend, Joe-Joe and a host of other family and friends.
Dortha's loving memories will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
