In Loving Memory of an Extraordinary Woman, Dorothy "Dottie" Ilene Staebler.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of an incredible wife and mother, age 83. She touched the lives of many with her vibrant spirit, unwavering love, and boundless joy. Her legacy is one of strength, compassion, and an unfaltering commitment to family and faith.

Born with a zest for life, she was the proud mother of five children, grandmother to sixteen, and great-grandmother to twenty-one. Married for 65 years, her devotion to her husband and family was unparalleled. She and her beloved husband shared a bond that radiated love and warmth, setting an inspiring example for all who knew them.

Her passions were diverse and brought color to every corner of her world. A polka dancing pro, she not only dazzled audiences in competitions alongside her daughters and husband, but also generously shared her talents, teaching others to embrace the lively dance.

Cooking and gardening were her cherished pastimes. Her culinary creations were seasoned with love, especially with her beloved garlic salt. Her garden was a vibrant canvas of blooms, with her hibiscus plants being her favorite. She found peace in bird watching, delighting in the songs and colors of her feathered friends.

A dedicated servant at her church, she watched over children and selflessly served food at funerals. Her steadfast faith was a beacon of hope, and she shared her love for God with everyone she met. Her kind heart and nurturing spirit had a magical way of soothing babies, earning her the admiration of all.

Her playful nature shone through in her love for playing cards, beating kids at Atari, laughing during scary movies, cooking with grandkids, and her unique tickle torture.

She adored flip flops, the color pink, and the simple joys of life, from dancing at the Plamore to savoring a delicious meal.

With a beautiful smile and a great sense of humor, she had an uncanny ability to bring light to any situation. Fiercely loved by her husband, children, and grandchildren, she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

Her memory will forever live on. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Staebler; son, Russ Staebler; daughters, Debi Meersman, Sue DeCastro, Cheryl Atkinson and Jen Garness.
