Doug Arms, age 76, of Green Rock Fork, Oil Springs, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, August 24, 2025.

He was born April 4, 1949, in Johnson County to the late Elbert and Martha Jane Arms. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers: Elbert Arms Jr., Bernett Arms, and Rutherford Arms; three sisters: Billie Scott, Bonnie Preston Litteral, and Betty Perkins; four nephews: Jerry Scott, Ronnie Scott, Lowell Scott, Danny Scott, and Robert Eddie Perkins; and one great nephew, Justin Bernett Arms.

Doug was a retired school bus driver for the Johnson County School System.

Survivors include one sister: Berniece (John) Fitzpatrick, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends who loved him dearly.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in the Jones-Preston Funeral Home chapel with Joe Scott officiating. Burial to follow at the Arms Family Cemetery in Oil Springs. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 12 Noon until 8 P.M. Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
