Of Tonawanda, at age 67; beloved husband of Renee (nee Weir) Cookfair; loving father of Theresa (Michael) Emminger and Arthur Cookfair (Samantha Bent); cherished grandfather of Madeline and Emilee Emminger; dear brother of Diane (Craig Steger) Cookfair and Patricia (Nicholas Casseri) Cookfair-Casseri. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins and dear friends. Doug was the son of the late Arthur and Joan (nee Patton) Cookfair, and brother to the late Robert Sheperd. Doug loved music and traveling, but his greatest passion was his family. His sense of humor, strength and love will be truly missed. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 3-7 PM at the (Tonawanda Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2600 Sheridan Dr. (at Parker Blvd.). Friends are welcome to join Doug's family in a service Celebrating his Life on Saturday, March 14th, at 10 AM at University Presbyterian Church, 3330 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14214.
