Doug Donham, a retired engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad, passed away on December 28, 2023 at the age of 70. Born on May 13, 1953, Doug's journey through life was marked by hard work, dedication, and an unwavering spirit.
Doug's career as an engineer was not just a profession but a lifelong passion. His commitment to his work was evident in every project he undertook. The Union Pacific Railroad benefited greatly from his vast knowledge and expertise.
Outside of the workplace, Doug possessed a deep love for adventure and nature. As an avid outdoorsman, he found solace and joy in hunting and fishing. These activities allowed him to connect with the beauty of the natural world while also providing moments of relaxation and reflection. Doug's love for nature will continue to inspire all those who cherished him.
In reflecting upon Doug's life, it is impossible not to mention the incredible love and support he received from his family and friends throughout the years. He shared a deep connection with his wife Melissa Donham, their children Doug Donham and Craig (Corye) Donham, and grandson Jaxson Donham. Their unwavering presence brought immense joy and meaning to Doug's life.
Doug was preceded in death by his mother Georgia Lou Craig, father Robert R. Donham, and brother Richey Donham. Their memories will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved them.
A visitation to honor Doug's life will be held on January 6, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the Smith Family Funeral Home - North Little Rock, located at 1921 Main St, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72114. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together and share their memories of a man whose impact will never be forgotten.
