A Celebration of Life for Doug Drueke, age 70, of Valentine, Nebraska and formerly from O'Neill, will be from 5-8 pm on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill. Doug passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Bryan LGH West Medical Center in Lincoln. Arrangements are entrusted to Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill, Nebraska.
Douglas Lynn Drueke was born Aug 2, 1953, to Oswald and Madelynne (Hynes) Drueke in O'Neill, NE. Our father was a true American cowboy, tougher than a 10-cent steak. Dad was many things: a football player, a farrier, a rancher, a pool shark, a bull rider, a team roping champion, and a coyote hunter. Unique in his thoughts and actions, he did things his way. He loved his children and was incredibly proud of his grandchildren. He will be forever remembered and immensely missed. May he rest in peace.
He is survived by his five children, Doug Homes of Wynot, Jake (Sara) Drueke of Lincoln, Tammy (Tom) O'Malley of Orland Park, Illinois, Cassie Ritz of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Roan (Samantha) Reiman of Summerset, South Dakota; and his eight grandchildren.

Drueke Family,

I am very sorry to read of your father´s passing. I drove him (along with his 3 Amish friends who provided help) from Kilgore to where we were met with help. We were praying for a different outcome. I know he meant a lot to his Amish friends there in Kilgore.

From reading his obituary, he sounded like a great man. Again, I´m so sorry for your loss.

You all will be in our prayers.
