Doug Endicott, 58, was born on June 10, 1966, in St. Louis, Missouri. He spent a happy childhood in Marshall Texas, 25 years in Richmond, Texas and had recently moved to Seabrook, Texas.
His journey through life was nothing short of admirable. After receiving his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, he began his professional career in insurance, spanning many fruitful years, and culminating as a fraud investigator. In this role, he didn't just look out for the financial bottom line but was dedicated to integrity and fairness. For years, he served as President of the Association of Special Investigation Units, where his leadership shone brightly.
A true survivor, Doug was a beacon of hope and resilience, having successfully battled both bone and colon cancer. His determination was unyielding and inspirational. He was actively involved in his community, contributing as an arson investigator and offering his expertise as a consultant for the Special Investigations Unit at AAA Insurance.
What truly sets Doug apart, however, was his incredible ability to connect with others. Outgoing and ever humorous, Doug was no stranger to spinning a yarn that could elicit both head-shaking awe and raucous laughter. His fondness for Texas, and his hometown of Marshall, was no secret-where friends can still recall many tales of playful mischief.
Doug was also a selfless protector, ever willing to drop everything to lend a hand to those in need. Whether family or friend, his innate kindness knew no bounds, and he was never far when needed the most.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 27 years, Carmen Endicott, his parents, John Roy Endicott III and Linda Plunkett Endicott, his sister Christi Bowden (David), and brother Troy Endicott (Melissa). In addition, he leaves behind mother-in-law Linda Lewallen, nieces and nephews Emily and Katie Robbins, Claire Endicott, Annabel Endicott, Ethan Endicott, Amelia Endicott, Aviana and Xander Knochel. Though predeceased by his grandparents, Wayne and "Imoe" Plunkett and John and Marion "Mer-Mer" Endicott, Doug never tired of telling stories of their love and wisdom. In addition, he leaves behind many other relatives and friends and pampered pets Winston, Cooper, and Oliver.
A memorial service will be held at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, Texas located at 111 West Medical Blvd on March 6th beginning at 2 p.m.
He will live on in the laughter he inspired and the love he so freely gave.
