Doug Ware, age 67, of Glenwood, Arkansas, passed away on December 27, 2025.
He was born on May 8, 1958, in Arkadelphia to William Murrell Ware and Claudie Bell Bradshaw Ware. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Ware; son, Hunter Ware; Heath Galloway (Carmen); daughter, Lindsey Jones (Chris); grandchildren Alex Martin, Shiloh Burton, Braxton Martin, Taylin Galloway, and Ruby Galloway; and his brother, Rocky Ware (Karen) along with nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Doug was a loving husband (His wife Lisa loved him dearly), proud father, devoted “Poe,” and loved his family tremendously. Doug was a member of First Baptist Church in Glenwood. Anyone who knew Doug knew he was always about fun. He had a way of making every moment lighter, brighter, and fuller. His incredible heart left a lasting imprint on everyone that knew him. Doug didn’t just love big- he lived big.
In Doug’s younger years, he rodeoed, holding both ARA and PRCA cards. He attended Arkansas Tech University, where he excelled in baseball, helping win a Babe Ruth state championship and being inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame. His love for the game continued as an umpire, encouraging young athletes along the way. Doug also had a great passion for training duck dogs. He had Full Choke Kennels, a breeding and training center working with clients across many states and deeply valuing the friendships formed through that work. He was a member of The Lost Swamp Hunting Club. He loved cheering on the Razorbacks, duck hunting, deer hunting, spending time outdoors, and being surrounded by family.
He left us with so many good memories, and we will hold on to them forever
