Douglas Wayne "Doug" Albaugh, age 65, of New Rumley, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in his home on August 8, 2025. Born on December 26, 1959, he was the son of the late Lyle Wayne and Nancy Ellen (Lightner) Albaugh.

Doug was a very big Star Trek fan. He enjoyed listening to a wide range of music and was a big fan of Lee Brice. Doug had a lifelong curiosity for the world above and around us. He could often be found gazing at the night sky, marveling at the constellations, planets, and the quiet beauty of the stars. Doug found joy in observing the beauty and science of the skies, sharing that passion with family. Doug enjoyed watching News 9 where he got his favorite saying "Yes Sir" from.

Doug is survived by his nephews, Clint (Peejay) Albaugh, Kyle Albaugh, his niece, Kayla Albaugh, his great-niece Adrienne Albaugh, his great-nephew Elliott Anderson, his sister-in-law Lisa Albaugh, his Uncle Richard (Judy) Albaugh, his Aunt Carolyn (Jim) Ager.

Besides his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his brother Raymond Jeffrey "Dozer" Albaugh, his Aunt Carol McAfee.

A private family gathering is planned for a later date.
