Douglas James Bieller, age 46, of Chesterfield, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Saint Louis, Missouri. Doug was born at Baptist Memorial Hospital on June 8, 1979, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Doug was the loving son of Jim and Berla (Mayberry) Bieller, beloved brother of Anne Bieller (Chad) Hammond, and dear grandson of the late Berley and Iva Mildred (Cato) Mayberry and the late Russell L. and Bernice M. (Hoepfinger) Bieller. He was an affectionate nephew and cousin as well as friend to many.
When he was a year old, Doug and his parents moved to his family's farm to join his Grandpa and Grandma Mayberry. Being raised on a farm, he enjoyed spending time with family while developing a deep love for his country roots.
Doug graduated Class of 1997 with Salutatorian Honors from Twin Rivers High School, Broseley, Missouri. He had a love of learning and a particular passion for math and science, so it was no surprise he decided to major in Engineering. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2003, receiving both a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Construction Management. In 2006, Doug achieved his childhood dream of attending law school and graduated with a Juris Doctor of Law (JD) from Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale, Illinois.
From a young age, Doug had many passions and interests. He enjoyed traveling, especially going to Walt Disney World with his parents and sister. Doug loved spending time with his family and friends, golfing, attending Broadway shows, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, Blues, and Rams, and bonding with his beloved dog, Archie. He also shared a love of planes and trains as a tribute to his late grandfather, Grandpa B.
Doug had a fulfilling career as an attorney specializing in the areas of insurance defense, construction law, product liability, and toxic tort. However, he always had a desire to return to his farming heritage, of which he was so proud. With the help of his parents and sister, Doug forever memorialized his family's farm by securing its recognition as a Missouri Century Farm.
Doug leaves behind an everlasting legacy of kindness, generosity, friendliness, humor, and strong devotion to family.
