Douglas Blais Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Duffy-Poule Funeral & Cremation Services - Attleboro on Jan. 3, 2026.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas Blais, Jr., a cherished son, husband, father, and grandfather, who departed this life on December 30, 2025. Born in Attleboro, MA on December 1, 1970, Douglas was a beacon of strength and resilience, whose spirit was as captivating as his love for life. A resident of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and formerly of Attleboro, Massachusetts, he lived a fulfilling life filled with love, laughter, and the pursuit of his passions.

Douglas was a skilled machinist who took pride in his craft. His dedication and hard work were evident in the precision of his work, and his colleagues admired him for his commitment and professionalism. A lover of the outdoors, Douglas found peace and tranquility in hunting and fishing. He was also an avid fantasy football player, a hobby that brought him joy and camaraderie. His dog, Chase, was his loyal companion and friend, sharing in his love for life's simple pleasures. Despite his long, hard battle with ALS, Douglas remained strong and courageous, an inspiration to us all.

He is survived by his loving parents; Douglas Sr. and Bernadette (Cardin) Blais, his devoted wife Lisa Blais, his beloved daughter, Sarah Blais; stepson Corey Duphily; loving sister, Karen Rigney and her husband Edward of Uxbridge, MA; brother Keith Blais and his wife Rebecca of Attleboro, MA; his cherished step-grandson, Corey Jr.; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA. A Memorial Service to honor Douglas will follow at 2:30 p.m.

Douglas' life was a testament to the strength of the human spirit, and his memory will continue to inspire and guide us. We invite you to share your memories of Douglas on his memorial page, where you can also upload photos that celebrate his life and the times you've shared. His legacy will forever be etched in our hearts, and through our shared memories, his spirit will continue to shine brightly.
