Douglas Joseph Clark (Captain Douglas, Captain Grumpy) passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 19, 2026, at his home in Ellabell, Georgia.
He was born on June 12, 1942 in Savannah, Georgia to his late parents Andrew Leroy and Emma Lee Clark.
He was known as a commercial fisherman and owned the D.J. and C. and other boats. He also was a net maker. Douglas was the youngest of 11 children. He married his sweetheart Carol Ann King. They had a son named Joseph Clark. Carol passed away in 1988. He remarried Emma Stoner, and she passed in 2018.
Douglas was a loving father to his son Joseph (Jane) Clark and his step daughters, Robin, Mandy, Dusty, and Sandy. He loved his grand children and great grandchildren.
He will be missed.
