Funeral service celebrating the life of Douglas Cobbs, 89, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2025, at Spring Ridge Baptist Church, 5200 Hwy 175, Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, with Pastor Ricky Wead and Bro. Jonathan McManus officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, at the church.
Douglas was born on October 15, 1936, in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana to Charles Claude Cobbs and Myrtis Jacobs and passed away December 16, 2025, in Mansfield, Louisiana.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtis and Charles Cobbs; children, Jimmy and Becky Cobbs; siblings, Charles Lee Cobbs, Loyce Campbell and Willie Cobbs.
Left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Alex Owens and Kara Ann Owens; great grandchildren, Damion Owens and Ava Rose Plunkett; special niece, Evelyn Payne; special nephew, Steve Campbell, special friend, Mary Lee Graves; stepdaughter, Jackie Graves; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honoring Douglas as pallbearers will be Raymond Payne, John Williams, Kenny Dale Remedies, Damion Owens, Alex Owens, and Steve Campbell.
