It is with deep sorrow that the family of Jimmy Leroy Cobbs announces his peaceful passing on December 12, 2025.
Jim Cobbs was born in Inglewood California on October 31st, 1946 to James Cobbs and Esther Cobbs.
After graduating from high school Jim attended Fullerton Junior College prior to joining the Airforce. He was transferred to Italy where he spent the next 2 ½ years with his wife Nancy Cobbs. After his military career Jim worked at UPS for 10 years before opening a business with his wife Nancy named Modern Interiors in Vista California. He then returned to finish his college education at National University earning a bachelors in finance. Jim spent the next 30 years as a commercial lender and Vice President of a bank.
Jim loved baseball and Boise State football, wood working and anything family related. . Jim and Nancy enjoyed travelling, especially to Paris, Prague, London, Budapest, Florence and his Favorite Jamaica.
Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years Nancy Cobbs, two daughters, Christee (Jeff Spouse) Jennifer (Ashby Spouse) 4 grand children Samatha, Joshua, Hailey and Kaitlyn, and 6 Step grandchildren. He also had 2 great grand children Joseph and Ivy and 2 step great grandchildren. Jim will forever be known for his impeccable character, honesty, thoroughly thought out advice and the passion he had for learning about the lives of his family and others. He would want to relay to everyone, “live life in a positive manor”, He wants us to celebrate the time we had together, remember the great times and live your life honoring his spirit.
