Douglas Arthur Gustafson, 42, died on January 10, 2023, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born October 30, 1980, to parents Dennis Gustafson and Edith Ann Marie McDonough. He was the husband of Melisa Clayton, whom he started dating on October 28, 2005, while working overnight shifts together at the Amherst Walmart.
Douglas was known for his love of football; he always rooted for the Miami Dolphins and bragged that he had the largest Travis Minor collection in the world. Time spent with family and friends was important to Douglas. He will be remembered for his dedication and love given to his friends and family, creating countless memories with all the people he held close. Douglas also enjoyed playing video games, going on adventures, and spending time with his family on vacation. Whenever his family went on a road trip together, he would declare: “Adventure is out there!”
He is survived by his wife, Melisa Clayton and his children, Emily Gustafson, Dominic Gustafson, Ryan Hooks, and Jacob Geiger.
No formal services for Douglas will be held at this time.
