Douglas E. Heller

I was so sorry to see this. I met Doug and Patty when we were attending the University of Cincinnati. Doug lived in the apartment above mine for a year. We were friends for the two years our degrees kept us at UC. I am happy to learn he had a beautiful life with such warm and loving people. Our paths crossed for such a short time, but he was/is unforgettable. Sending blessings of love and light to family and friends.

To the Heller family ... it was my pleasure to know Doug for 43 years from Howmet/ Alcoa he was such a pleasure to talk to ... and his infectious personality and laugh ...he will be missed dearly...prayers to all of you

Thank you all for sharing memories about my dad. It brought great joy to me and, my family during this difficult time. He love you all and will be greatly missed.

All the wonderful memories are flooding back as I write this note. Pat Esposito introduced us to Kathy and Doug and Pat asked Doug not to "act to outrageous" since I was a recent acquaintance of Pat. We went out to an Italian place and in the restaurant a piano player played Sinatra tunes. By the end of the night he and I were singing as loudly as we could with smiles on our faces. I´m sure Doug thought Pat´s request was a bit overblown.

Kathy, Milagros and I send our condolences to you and your family. An amazing individual that we both valued as a friend.

Doug was my cousin Patrick Esposito´s
Best Bud. We shared many a party and many a family funeral .
I sat with Doug and Cathy at Aunt Nancy´s funeral last year.
With my Best Bud as well and Carol Ann
He always made me feel Special.
He was always the Life of the Party at Aunt Nancy´s Lake house.
Madison will always remember this Man as a Humorous Spirit.

Kathy so very sorry to you and your family. Doug was such a great guy and you both were an amazing couple who we always enjoyed spending time with. I remember what a great smile he had and great memories.

Doug and me at my daughter's wedding at Livesey Park in Madison, July 2024. Doug's been a lifelong friend and a wonderful buddy... a life full of memories to reminisce and enjoy.

Mr Heller was one of a kind!!!! He was always there for my brother and I growing up in Randolph. He was a coach/mentor overall great man who would even pick us up on Sundays and take us to the YMCA to learn how to lift weights and workout.
Something I still think about today is that he always said there is no excuse for being slow. You are only slow because you want to be slow. You can go outside anywhere and practice running to get faster and he was 100% right. I run everyday Mr Heller.
I have a lot of love for that man who I now regret not telling him how much he meant to me and my brother growing up. You will be missed Mr. Heller!!! Jim Clarke

Mr Heller was an incredible man! Every memory is with great fondness and tremendous fun! Miss the days he would pick me up in the IROC to hit the YMCA with Doug. One of a kind man and fabulous family. He will be missed tremendously and talked about for many many years. Rest in peace Mr. Heller

To our "favorite neighbor " -
We will always remember the good times - our children growing up, weddings, wine, meals - and those freezing days chipping ice on our driveway. Doug´s idea to clear the sides of our road together turned out beautifully.

I met Doug when starting at GE Schenectady in 1999. He was a wonderful guy with a heart of gold. I will remember all the good times we had talking when Doug would come up to visit GE. I will never forget you Doug! God Bless
