Douglas Lee Howard, 77, of Munsonville, passed away peacefully at home Friday, November 21, 2025, while surrounded by his family. Born left-handed and on a leap year on February 29, 1948, in Keene, NH, he was the son of the late Prinnie Wallace and Anna Elizabeth (Spaulding) Howard.

He served his country in the United States Army as an E-4 SPC in the 82nd Airborne during Vietnam. Before he was honorably discharged, he received the National Defense Service medal, Vietnam Service medal, Vietnam Campaign Ribbon and his Parachute badge. Having earned his GED in the military, he furthered his education and earned his degree in electrical engineering. Always a hard worker, he was a certified plumber and electrician and had retired from Kennametal Inc. as an electrical engineer after 21 years.

He loved vacationing with his family at Old Orchard Beach where he could never get his fill of steamers, mountain biking with his son, and spending time with his friends from Vietnam. With a love for working on cars that started at a young age, he spent many years working on his favorite cars, the Firebird, at his garage in Munsonville.

He is survived by his son Adam Howard and girlfriend Kristin; daughters Amy Kenyon and husband Garry, Amanda Lambert and longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Rzegocki, Christie Walker and wife Kelly Alergria, Samantha Robinson and husband Andrew; grandchildren Phyllicia Sharkey, Hailey Howard, Carter Howard, Aria Robinson, Amity Robinson; great-grandchild Levi Scott; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife Theresa Howard, and four siblings.

A visitation will be held from 1PM-2PM on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Cheshire Family Funeral Home, 44 Maple Ave, Keene, NH, with a memorial service to begin at 2PM followed by military honors.
