Douglas Ray Hux, 43 years of age, of Dickson, TN, passed away March 21, 2024, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center.
Douglas was born April 4, 1980, in Waverly, TN, to Joyce (Moran) Potter and the late Gary Stewart.
He was a loving, strong, giving, dependable, and hardworking man. Although he was a manly, man, he loved classical music and flowers, with roses being his favorite. He was a handy man, who could fix anything. He was always quick to jump and help anyone who needed it. He also enjoyed, corn hole, fishing, mowing, any type of yard work and camping. He loved his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by grandparents, Beckie and Aubrey Moran, and Edith Stewart. Those left to cherish his memory, are his life-partner of 17 years, Brandy Dunn; mother, Joyce (Tim) Potter; very dear friend, Trisha Ray; children, Trenton (Trixie) Dunn, Philip (Maggie) Luster, Tyler Hux, Timothy Hux, Josh Hux, Lelia Martin, Aidan Miles, Holley Miles, C.J. Miles, and Alana Tompkins; grandchildren, Sawyer, Walker, Charlee and Saylor; siblings, Tony (Alicia) Hux, Bobby Hux, Malcolm Stewart, Arlene (David) Fleet, and Lisa Fleet (Evan Watkins); nieces and nephews, Jamie (Anthony), Alexis, Paige, Lily, Knox, Kyler, Ashley (Roger), Chris (Lexie), Jonathan, Josh, Terri (Ivan), Destiny, April, Jacob, Kai, Kallen, Courtney, Hailey, Little Donna, Franklin, and Emma; Aunt Tammy, Aunt Sheila, and Aunt Carol; cousin, Becca; and many, many friends.
Visitation with the family will be at Dickson Funeral Home on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.; Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. with Interment to follow in Union Cemetery.
