Douglas Lee Johnson passed away on March 7, 2026. He was born on September 4, 1983 in Stuart, Florida to David Johnson and Carolyn East. Doug was a lifetime resident of Stuart for over 42 years. He enjoyed, fishing, working on things, spending time with family and friends, and most of all making his famous jalapeño poppers. He had a deep love for the outdoors and for mudding. Doug was happiest when he was outside, whether he was fishing, boating, cooking out, or just enjoying time in nature. He was the kind of person who could do a little bit of everything, a true jack of all trades. He was the life of a party! Even in his passing, Doug continued to help others, as an organ donor, giving the gift of life to others in need. That final act reflects exactly the kind of person he was.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Johnson; mother, Carolyn East; stepfather, Kennth East Jr. (Bub); grandparents; and aunt, Flossie Anderson Meek.

Doug is survived by his son, Carson Johnson of Vero Beach, Florida; partner, Amanda Mack; stepsons, Joey and Jase Mack of Stuart, Florida; brothers, David "Chip" Johnson (Chasity) of Fort White, Florida, Jesse East (Casey) of Eastman, Georgia, and Jimmy Johnson of Fort White, Florida; sisters, Caitlin East (Brandon ) of Okeechobee, Forida and Tiffany Doyle (Eric) of Fort White, Florida; and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends will have a celebration of life Friday, March 20, 2026 from 1pm to 5pm at Sandsprit Park located at 3443 SE St Lucie Blvd, Stuart, FL, 34997.
