Douglas Anderson Obituary
September 2, 1943 - July 5, 2025
Waunakee - Douglas L. Anderson, age 82, passed away on July 5, 2025. Doug was born on September 2, 1943 to Arthur and Mildred Anderson.
He graduated from Deforest High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy. He was stationed on the USS Mars during the Vietnam War. Doug was a lifetime member of the Waunakee VFW. He also was a member of the American Legion.
On August 8, 1979 he married the love of his life, Paula Kreul. They were married just one month short of their 46th anniversary.
Doug leaves behind his wife, Paula; his son, Tom (Karin), and their daughters, Danielle and Abby; his daughter, Michelle (Stacy), and their daughter, Mykenzie, and son Ayden. Doug is further survived by his brother, Arlen (Claudia); his mother-in-law, Rose Kreul Nooks; sisters-in-law, Carol Kreul, Sally (Jim) Brodt, Susan Schleicher, Patricia (Kevin) Peloquin; and nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mildred; son, Bruce; stepfather, Reynold May; his two brothers, Steve and Stewart; his father-in-law, Norbert Kreul; and his sisters-in-law, Nadine and Kathy.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the Winn Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee, WI 53597, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens.
