Douglas Lamb Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Egan-Ryan Funeral Service - Northwest Chapel on Feb. 9, 2026.
Douglas E. Lamb, 74, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026, after a long illness. Born on July 13, 1951, to James and Betty Lamb (Sorenson), Doug lived with courage, resilience, and a steady, thoughtful presence that anchored those around him.

Doug was a gentle, off-beat soul with a warm heart and a curious mind. Though private by nature, he was creative and reflective-a dreamer who loved art, music, history, and religion, and who found meaning in thinking deeply about the world. He faced life's challenges with quiet courage and grace, never seeking attention, yet leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

Family was at the center of Doug's life. He was devoted to his wife, Cindy Love, and a constant, loving presence to his children Devin (Katie), Brendan, and Maura. He showed his love through consistency, wisdom, and unwavering support. He is also survived by his sisters Karen Gall (William) and Christine Clapham, both of Mt. Vernon. He was preceded in death by his brothers, T.R. and Marc Lamb, and his sister, Susan.

Beneath his calm exterior lived an adventurous spirit. Doug was a tinkerer, an avid reader, and a loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Penn State Nittany Lions. He offered love freely and without expectation and will be remembered for his gentleness, his curiosity, and the quiet strength that shaped everyone fortunate enough to know him.

His love endures, and his presence will be deeply missed.

A visitation will take place on Monday, February 16 from 10-11am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road where a Funeral Mass will begin at 11am. A private burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
