Remembering the life to Doug, an aspiring pilot in his early career years 1988-90. Hired with American Eagle , he came and stayed with me during training, studied late into the night and prepared for daily quizzes, passing them through diligent preparation. He did theater impersonations of Jack Nicholson, Jimmy Stuart, and Walter Brennen

Sad to hear this. I knew Doug in the early 1980s, thoroughly enjoyed his companionship for a time before I moved away. Doug was generous and upbeat and big hearted. An unforgettable man. Prayers for those who loved him.

Doug was one of a kind. I met him when I was a rookie policeman at " Dimensions" and always enjoyed seeing Doug at AirPark. God Bless your family during this difficult time. We will be with Doug a lot longer than without him.

I worked with Doug in the 1980's. He told me that he wanted to experience all that life had to offer, and he surely tried.
Some of my memories include Doug bringing his guitar to oilfield locations and serenading us, catching rattle snakes with his bare hands, and landing a role as an extra in the movie 'Hangar 18'.
Doug recorded a record and tried to promote it by getting it installed in the jukebox at a local truck stop. We would stop there to eat while heading out to a job and he would play his record over & over.
Flying, taxidermy, customizing motorcycles, drag racing; what a talented fellow!
I still have a copy of his record. The 'B' side song entitled "It's Over" somehow seems appropriate.
Doug will be missed, but he will certainly be remembered.
