Douglas MacArthur O'Neal, 82, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lee's Summit, MO. Services will be held on Saturday, August 30 th at New Life Church in Oak Grove, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. to noon and funeral at noon, followed by burial in Valley Memorial Gardens in Grain Valley, MO.

Douglas was born February 11, 1943, in Atlanta, Idaho, the son of Charles Roosevelt and Letha Irene (Fipps) O'Neal. He served his country in the United States Army. Douglas married Brenda Cantrell on March 30, 1973, at Calvary Temple in Kansas City, MO. He was a cement mason for over 50 years and built his home in Oak Grove with his own two hands. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes in his younger years and going camping in the mountains. Douglas was a strong man of faith and made sure his family had a strong foundation by taking them to church every Sunday. He was a member of Calvary Temple for 39 years, then attended New Life Church for 24 years, and spent the last 2 years attending Living Waters.

Douglas is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda O'Neal of the home; three daughters: Stephanie & Karl Dittman of Blue Springs, MO, Amanda & Steve Montgomery of Oak Grove, MO, and Autumn Love of Oak Grove, MO; six grandchildren: Brooke, Amy Jo & Yasser, Dakota, Canyon, Landon, and Lincoln; great-grandson, Thomas; and his brother, Bill O'Neal. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles O'Neal Jr.
