CLIFTON PARK - Douglas W. Pekola, 54, of Clifton Park and Rome, N.Y., passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Rome, N.Y., on August 8, 1971, son of Douglas Wayne and Donna Ellinger Pekola.
Surviving is a son and daughter, Ryan Pekola, and Samantha Pekola, both of Rexford, N.Y.; his mother, Donna Pekola, of Rome. Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, David and Michele Pekola, Berea, Ky.; former spouse, Gina Pekola, Rexford, N.Y.; a niece and nephew, Ashley Pekola and Jacob Pekola; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Douglas Wayne Pekola.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 6 p.m., at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., Rome, N.Y. 13440. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4 to 6 p.m., prior to the funeral service. Private burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
