Douglas Martin Sewell

Douglas Martin Sewell, 58, of Clarksville, FL, passed away on September 25, 2025, peacefully in the comfort of his home.
Doug was born on August 23, 1967, to Janie (Varnum) Pelt & Martin Sewell. He grew up in Clarksville, where he continued to reside nearby his family for the majority of his life. He married Theresa (Dudley) Sewell on May 7, 1998, and together they have spent the last 27 years.
Doug will be remembered for his strong will, dedication to his family & his sense of humor that always sparked his distinct laughter.
He is survived by his wife Theresa Sewell, his mother Janie Pelt; father Martin Sewell; step-father Doug Pelt; step-mother Linda Sewell; step-children Jason Gafford and Eva Hall; grandchildren Emily Pearson, Tori Gafford, Kaitlyn Gafford and Jevon Hall; sister Lana Stewart (Jeffrey); niece Chelsea Creel (Kenny); nephew Hunter Williams; aunts Kay Coppock (David), Kathy Sewell, Lucille McCoy; many cousins, friends, and his dog, Jack.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Nellie and Jesse Sewell and maternal grandparents Verna and Alto Varnum.
A celebration of life ceremony to honor Doug will be held on September 28, 2025 at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with visitation at beginning at 2:00 pm and service at 3:00 pm (CST). Arrangements are under the direction of Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
