Douglas Eugene Shell

Douglas E. Shell, 67, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on August 12, 1956 in Clinton to Carolyn (Neal) Shell and Dallas C. Shell. He was raised in New Goshen and later moved to the Terre Haute area. Douglas married Toni (Webster) Shell.
He is survived by his wife, children John Douglas Shell and Jessica Erin Shah (Deipan), brother Dennis R. Shell (Debbie), brothers-in-law Russ Webster (Barbara), Randall Webster (Christy), and Rodney Webster; sisters-in-law Joni (Scott) McCall, Tina Ginoplis, and Jada Webster; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by both parents, youngest son Joshua Ryan Shell, parents-in-laws Jarrie and Jackie Webster, and sister-in-law Jodi Lucas.
Douglas was a great provider. He drove semi-trucks for over 35 years, and he was an amazing gardener. Some of his favorite pastimes included taking care of his land, sitting on his deck watching the birds, and being with his dog Bowe. Most importantly, Douglas loved and enjoyed spending time with all his family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm at DeBaun Springhill Chapel. A service will follow starting at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be Waston Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
