Douglas Wayne Tyndall

Douglas Wayne Tyndall, 79, passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day, Nov 27, 2025. He was born in Goldsboro, NC on August 6,1946. For the past 40 + years, he resided in Pineville, NC with his wife, Betty. At one point, he was Mayor of Pineville where he served to make his community better.

Douglas was a loving husband, father, Gia, Grandy, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved being around family and friends, but most of all being by his wife's side. He never met a stranger and loved to talk with anyone who would listen.

Douglas is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Puckett and Joyce Bartlett, brothers, Harold Tyndall, Donald Tyndall and Tommy Tyndall, children DJ Tyndall and wife Sandra Tyndall, Kim Tyndall, Angie Ocampo and husband Jose Ocampo, Rene' Gamache and husband Jason Gamache, Sharon Wilson, Robin Black, and his 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral to be held at Harrison Methodist Church, 15008 Lancaster Hwy, Pineville, NC 28134, on December 4, 2025 at 11:00am. A private graveside service will follow.
